RA Architecture has taken a contemporary home concept and integrated it into nature successfully in Portugal. With all of the gorgeous trees and untouched landscape, the homes that have unfolded on this plot appear like stylized snakes slithering through the grounds.
With the idea to recreate the whimsy and great past time of tree houses, Luís Rebelo de Andrade and Tiago Rebelo de Andrade put together a modular style structure that’s elevated off the ground on stilt like homes. The interior is a simple studio, bathroom and kitchen, while the exterior has plenty of sustainable features. Insulation, heating, water reuse, solar panels, and LED technology are just a couple of the items keeping this home low consumption.
